A Little Fall of Rain

Salutations! I am a wishful mermaid who has a dream to live on the sea with a pet caribou, Sasquatch, and a loving dragon, with a wonderful husband who lets me write all day. But of course, we will always have a night to eat borscht and pumpkin vareniky and pickled herring, then cuddle on the couch and watch Juno and Bare while sipping chilled hibiscus tea. For those that didn’t know what I was talking in my last post, here is the thin privilege checklist in its entirety:

  • I can be sure that people aren’t embarrassed to be seen with me because of the size of my body.
  • If I pick up a magazine or watch T.V….

Wow. I had no idea how many privileges I had. In my school, 5’1”, 115 lbs. is on the heavier side. In the real world, though, I am at much more of an advantage. Appreciate your privileges and help those who don’t have them, regain them :)
